1998年、19才の時に当時から絶大な人気を誇っていた雑誌Fineの「Fine Night全国ツアー」のツアーDJに抜擢され一気に注目を浴びることになったDJ HOKUTO。最近では活動の場を世界にひろげ、ここ5年の間に20回以上世界中でクラブツアーを行っている。今年は初のヨーロッパツアーを大成功におさめ、ヨーロッパの一流DJが定期的にコラボレートして発表するMIXシリーズ「NETWORKS」にアジア人として始めて抜擢された。現在ハワイの人気ラジオステーションFM102.7BOMBの週末のMIXSHOWもレギュラーで担当するなど、世界を股に掛け活躍し多大な評価を得て着実に名を広げている。また、ラジオ・クラブで多くの海外有名アーティストとも共演し、AMERIE, OMARION, TOK, USHER, FATMAN SCOOP, WU-TANG CLAN, KAT DELUNA, LUDACRIS, XZIBIT, MIMS, YOUNG JOC等と共演を果たす。特にAMERIEからは非常に気に入られ、彼女のラジオ出演時に直接指名が出るほど、彼の熱狂的なファンだった。 更には、日本の音楽シーンの最重要グループGICODE (SPHERE & JESSE from RIZE)のDJ／トラックメーカーとしてや、音楽制作集団「YAMATO BEATS」を結成し、様々なREMIXやプロデュースを行っている。MIX CDの評判も非常に高く、2007年はBMGより「PARTY FO’SHO」シリーズ全3作と「BURN UP!」、2008年はFARM RECORDより「MELLOW CRUSIN’」と「MELLOW GROOVIN’」というOFFICIAL MIX CDをリリース。去年はUNIVESAL MUSIC（洋楽MIX）と、7月にVICTOR （邦楽MIX）から「Fine presents THE HOT」というシリーズモノのMIXCDを立て続けにリリースしている。 今現在、「日本人で世界に通用するInternational DJ」として注目を集める最もHOTなアーティストである。
